Invoice, Online invoicing?

An invoice is a general ledger document that proves a purchase or a sale. An invoice attests to a creditor’s claim to a debtor, in other words a customer’s debt to a supplier.

Billing is essential as soon as you provide a service or product to a customer. Bison ERP helps you complete your invoices, send them, and manage your payments online .

The invoice identifies creditor, debtor, the amount due and on what date. It entails for the debtor the obligation to pay the amount indicated on the due date.

An invoice must be issued when selling / purchasing products or fixed assets, or when providing a service. The term “invoice” must appear on the document to identify it as an invoice.

A distinction is made between the “pro-forma” invoice which is established upon purchase, for practical reasons, and at the request of the purchaser, from the true, final invoice, which is established upon delivery of the goods or following the performance of the service.

Invoices must be kept by the parties for a period of one to ten years, depending on the product or service in question.
